This project envisions a comprehensive dining system for a lunar environment, combining technology, design, and social interaction to redefine how people share meals in space.

At the heart of the project is the canteen service system, offering three modes of dining: a regular mode, where users order from a basic menu via a custom APP; a theme mode, where weekly themes are voted on by users, inspiring chefs to create tailored menus; and a user-designed mode, where participants design dishes through the APP, realized by 3D food printing before being cooked and shared. These modes foster both culinary variety and opportunities for social bonding.

The APP integrates ordering, DIY activities, reservations, table-height control, and a social community, acting as the digital backbone of the experience.Special attention is given to tableware, redesigned for microgravity with magnetic bases and lids to prevent food from drifting. Plates are customized for fresh produce, meat, and 3D-printed food, adapting to diverse forms and uses. Complementing this, a wearable communication device with micro-projectors allows users to interact seamlessly with the APP in lunar conditions.

Food design is central, with 3D-printed dishes shaped for both nutritional balance and aesthetic appeal. Finally, height-adjustable honeycomb tables maximize limited space, supporting both individual and group dining.

Together, these elements create not only a functional canteen, but a social ecosystem, turning meals into moments of connection, creativity, and cultural continuity — even on the Moon.
