AetherCare is an intelligent medical bed designed specifically for the Martian environment, addressing the challenges of healthcare in extreme conditions with limited resources and personnel. In daily use, it functions as a comfortable resting bed; in case of illness or injury, it transforms into an advanced medical device, providing astronauts with comprehensive care during long-duration missions.
The design emphasizes psychological well-being, using soft colors and an inviting form to counterbalance the isolation of space life. Integrated into the structure is a high-precision scanner for continuous monitoring of vital signs, while lateral barriers offer both safety and isolation when required. Built-in compartments store essential medicines and medical tools for quick access.
The memory foam mattress is enhanced with adjustable air pumps, enabling therapeutic massage functions to relieve physical stress and support rehabilitation. A robotic medical arm assists with injections and treatments, reducing the burden on limited crew members.
Control is intuitive and adaptive: astronauts can manage the system through voice commands and gesture recognition, minimizing physical strain. The bed also supports telemedicine, enabling remote intervention from Earth-based medical teams.
